This event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., with the last tour departing at 11:15 a.m. Bi-lingual tour guides will also be available to provide tours in Spanish.
During the Teddy Bear Clinic, children can observe medical professionals “treating” their beloved stuffed animals with general healthcare procedures like checkups, application of casts and sutures, administration of x-rays and more.
“The program is designed to help lessen the fear that children may face when they have to be taken to a hospital or physician,” officials say.
Also on the agenda are healthy snacks and educational activities like germ-buster, hand-hygiene, spin the wheel-of-nutrition, ambulance tours, tips from local police and health and safety lessons.
Northern Westchester Hospital will also be providing information about its new Center for Healthy Living.
The tours will be held at 400 East Main Street on the first-floor conference center. Guests are asked to park in the hospital garage and enter through the main entrance.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. This event is free, but registration is required. Click here to access the online registration form.
